Sahar Abdulaziz

SaharSahar Abdulaziz is the author of But You Look Just Fine: Unmasking Depression, Anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, and Seasonal Affective Disorder, which reveal through words and pictures, how people living with mood disorders can easily appear one way on the outside while feeling quite differently on the inside,  as well as the recently published novel, As One Door Closes. One man’s death unleashes horrific family secrets, and forces his traumatized daughters and granddaughters to finally face the years of sexual abuse they suffered at his hands. As One Door Closes traces the triumphs and tragedies of a family torn apart by decades of betrayal —a process that ultimately leads to a shocking confrontation for the whole family.

Sahar Abdulaziz graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology before going on to earn her master’s degree in health and wellness promotion and administration. Also holding a certification in community health, she has answered hotline phones, worked as a domestic violence counselor/advocate, and become a staunch advocate for mutual respect and acceptance. Abdulaziz currently acts as a speaker and writer dedicated to helping those with hidden and painful disorders, cope more successfully.  She is currently working on publishing her third novel.
